Community Space Use Requests

CUIMC Facilities Use by Non-Affiliated Groups

As of March 1st, 2022, space in CUIMC buildings will be available for use by local community based organizations and others for small gatherings on a limited basis. All events must comply with the CUIMC Space Use Policy (see below). All events must also comply with the latest Columbia University Visitor Guidelines. Specifically, all attendees and organizers in attendance must be fully vaccinated and boosted. There are no exceptions to the policy and event organizers are responsible for ensuring 100% compliance. Any person not in compliance should asked to leave immediately. Organizers who do not fully enforce the vaccine policy will not be allowed to use CUIMC space again. Organizers are also responsible for ensuring compliance with Columbia’s attestation and mask wearing policy in effect at the time of the event. Note that as a health care institution, Columbia’s policy may be more restrictive than either the New York city or New York State policy.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and compliance with the CUIMC space use policy and the Columbia Visitor Guidelines.

As part of our relations with our neighboring organizations, the Medical Center provides access to its facilities by community groups to hold meetings and conduct activities that are of interest and free to area residents. Organizations desiring to use the facilities must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and must adhere to University policies and procedures relating to space use.

  • All requests for space must be made at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • While spaces are available free of charge ancillary charges may apply.
